The safest fire

The safest fire

The safest fire

Within Europe, a strict standard has been established with the joint member states for the use of bio ethanol fireplaces. Unfortunately, it is not laid down by law that all bio ethanol fireplaces offered must also meet this standard. As a result, bio ethanol fireplaces are available on the European market that do meet the production requirements for admission to the European market, but do not meet the safety requirements as laid down in the EN standard.

For products that are produced outside Europe there is the CE logo, this does not mean these products meet the new European standard. These products only meet the minimum requirements to be admitted to the European market.

Inspection bodies can inspect according to different requirements. The EN standard can only be applied to the product once a bio ethanol fireplace has been approved in accordance with the EN standard by an inspection institute such as Kiwa or Tüv. Only the claim that a bio ethanol fireplace has been tested says little about safety.

In the event of an accident or damage, an insurance company could inquire whether the bioethanol fireplace used was sound and according to the most recent safety requirements. It is therefore certainly important to always check whether a fireplace meets all quality marks.

The progressive, patented burners by xaralyn, bring the safest fire. Both our factory and our products are audited by Tüv and Kiwa. Our bio ethanol burners meet the latest standards and carry the DIN 4734-1 and EN 16647:2015 quality mark. All our bio ethanol burners have been tested in accordance to criteria set by the joint European testing institutes. These criteria concern the usage of fuel, the exhaust of a minimum amount of CO2 and the functionality of the bio ethanol burner.

Safety comes first with Xaralyn and all bio ethanol burners contain a ceramic core. This core absorbs the bio ethanol completely, which makes it impossible for the fuel to leak or spill from the burners, in contrary to bio ethanol burners with an open reservoir. The filling opening is separate from the opening of the fire and due to the built in safety system it is impossible to fill the bio ethanol burners while they are lighted.

  • • Certified according to DIN 4734-1 and EN 16647:2015.
  • • Fire created by gas that is formed when bio ethanol is exposed to the air. Due to the gradual release of the gas, there is a constant combustion, making this the bio ethanol burner very economic in use and the safest on the market.
  • • The complete bio ethanol burner is made of high quality stainless steel.
  • • Integrated safety: filling is only possible when burner-opening is closed.
  • • Latch is operated with use of handles.
  • • Ceramic stone absorbs the bio ethanol.
  • • Ceramic wool in outer case absorbs excess bio ethanol in case of overfilling.

We are so convinced of the quality that we give a lifetime warranty (30 years for the first user) on all our patented bio ethanol burners with ceramic core!
