A Xaralyn electric fireplace has a two-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Misuse may cause a malfunction that is not covered by the warranty. Electric fireplaces with Opti-Myst technology contain parts that are subject to wear and tear, the warranty on which is limited.

Is your fireplace not listed?

it is probably older than 6 years or was not supplied by Xaralyn.

An electric fireplace has an economic life of 6 years. Repair of older fireplaces can sometimes be very expensive because parts are expensive or no longer available. From a cost point of view, it is often better to replace these fireplaces with a newer (often more economical) fireplace.

This electric fireplace utilizes the Opti-Myst water vapor technology. The fireplace uses regular tap water.

We list the most common malfunctions that can usually be resolved by yourself:

  1. ​Water with less lime extends the lifespan of the evaporator or vapor unit. However, if there are too few minerals in the water, the fireplace will not function properly or may not work at all. Check if the fireplace functions properly with regular tap water.
  2. The evaporator (transducer) or vapor unit (sump) is a wearable part with a limited lifespan. If you notice very little or no water vapor after some time, it is advisable to replace these components. You can order parts in our webshop. You can find instructions on how to replace these parts in the user manual.

This electric fireplace contains moving parts. When turned on, there will always be some noise.

We list the most common malfunctions that can usually be resolved by yourself:

  1. Depending on the installation, sounds can be amplified. You can consider applying some sound-insulating material if needed.
  2. ​If the heating is turned on, it will produce more noise, which is normal.
  3. The fireplace makes a ticking sound at intervals. Transport may have caused the mirror axis to become bent, causing a piece of reflective material to come into contact. Open the back of the fireplace and gently straighten the axis to resolve the issue.
  4. The fireplace is making a continuous scraping sound. This sound is usually caused by the motor of the mirror axis. The motor needs to be completely replaced.

​The electric fireplace Levico features an LED light strip with LED lamps underneath the log, which gradually emit more and less light. The light strip creates a flickering effect, giving the illusion that the log is glowing.

This LED light strip has a limited number of burning hours. The LED light strip is easily accessible and simple to replace. You can order a replacement from us.

  1. ​Unplug the Levico 70 from the power outlet.
  2. Remove the decorative wooden log or the perspex plate
  3. The light strip is attached to two plastic holders. Pull the light strip upwards, you can use pliers if necessary.
  4. ​Carefully disconnect the connector. You can use a small flathead screwdriver if necessary.
  5. Assemble the new light strip in reverse order.
