The water vapor fireplace, a new trend at home
Everyone is familiar with a traditional fireplace. Think gas, electric, ethanol, or wood. Besides these options, there is a new trendsetter, the water vapor fireplace. In this blog, we will explain in detail how a water vapor fireplace works and what types are available on the market.
What is a water vapor fireplace?
If you’re looking for a fireplace that offers the ambiance and coziness of a traditional fireplace without the downsides of smoke, soot, or complicated installation, the Xaralyn water vapor fireplace is an interesting option. This innovative fireplace uses modern technology to create a realistic flame effect without real flames. This is achieved by combining fine water vapor with LED lighting, resulting in a visual effect that is almost indistinguishable from real fire. This way, you can enjoy the atmosphere of a fireplace without the disadvantages of combustion and emissions. You can operate the fireplace with the remote control from your couch. All you need is a power outlet, so it’s PLUG and PLAY.
Safe and child- and pet-friendly
One of the biggest advantages of a water vapor fireplace is safety. Because there are no real flames, there is no risk of fire hazards. This makes this fireplace particularly suitable for households with children, pets, or people who are sensitive to smoke. Even the wood bed and rising water vapor do not get hot. The “smoke” feels cold, so small children cannot burn themselves on it. It’s extremely safe!
Does a water vapor fireplace have a heating option?
Generally, water vapor fireplaces do not have a heating option. There are models that do offer this. We offer two types of water vapor fireplaces: the Cassette 400/600 or the Albany (this type comes with heating).
Easy Installation
Where traditional fireplaces often require a chimney, a water vapor fireplace can be placed almost anywhere. All you need is a power outlet and water. This makes the installation not only simple but also flexible; you can easily move the fireplace or integrate it into different rooms in your home.
Water vapor fireplaces in different options
Xaralyn offers various models of water vapor fireplaces, ensuring a suitable solution for every living space. There are built-in models that can be seamlessly integrated into a wall or piece of furniture. There are also freestanding models that you can easily place anywhere in the house, ideal for those who want flexibility in their interior setup. For those who prefer the classic look of a mantel, Xaralyn offers fireplaces that can be combined with a mantel surround, allowing you to have the traditional look with the modern benefits of a water vapor fireplace.

Are there any disadvantages?
While a water vapor fireplace offers many advantages, there are also some drawbacks to consider. The Cassette fireplace does not produce heat, which may be a downside for some people. If you’re looking for a fireplace that can also heat your home, the Albany is a solution. Additionally, the water reservoir needs to be refilled regularly (after 6-7 hours) to keep the flame effect working. While this is easy to do, it might be seen as a disadvantage by some as it requires an extra action.
